Welcome to Spanish II. The purpose of this course is to enable students to communicate with Spanish speakers and to understand the culture of the Spanish- speaking world. Spanish II will build upon and continue to develop further the listening, speaking, reading and writing skills acquired in Spanish I. The objective of this course is to repeatedly expose students to the Spanish language, through a variety of methods and techniques, that will cultivate a fertile learning environment wherein the students get accustom to communicating in Spanish both inside and outside the classroom. Materials needed for Student Success:
* This course requires two notebooks a composition and a spiral. The composition will be an interactive notebook for assessments and mini projects. The spiral will be for all other class work: Cornell notes, warm up, homework assignments, etc. Student Expectations and Rules

Referral and/or parent conference * Please note: Any steps can be skipped if necessary Late work: All assignments are expected to be turned in on time. Late work can be turned in for HALF credit one week after the due date. If the student is absent for a test or an oral presentation, the student can take the test or oral presentation after school. It is the student's responsibility to see me for any late or missing assignments. Cellphone and Electronics: Cellular phones are not allowed during class time for any reason other than learning activities that require the use of the device. They must be turned off and put away during class. See the 10th-grade scholar contract for consequences and procedures if the rule is not respected. Bathroom Students will not be allowed to use the restroom during class unless it is an emergency. Grade Scale: Activities 60% Classwork, Homework, Participation, Oral Presentations, Do Now Assessments 40% Tests, Quizzes, and Projects. The overall grade percentage will be: 100%-90% A 89%-80% B 79%-70% C 69%-60% D 59%-0% F
